GrapheneOS-built camera app crashing

Greetings all!

I am on a Pixel 9a with build 2026032001 and the Camera just keeps crashing. I have run adb logcat *:E > camera_errors.txt and parsed it through Claude which summarised the output relating to the camera thus:

GCH_AidlThermalUtils: Unknown temperature type: 11 GCH_AidlThermalUtils: Converting to hal temperature type failed libgcam: PixelRect x0 (0) must be < x1 (0) — Invalid input crop GAF: Invalid raw hw cdaf stats G3ACoordinator: Read GHAWB data manager fail

This is really annoying and would very much like some pointers on how to resolve this issue. The camera was bought "new" used of Amazon FWIW.

Many apps place errors under the warning or information designation as well.

I'd do:
Settings > app > all apps
Search "camera"
3 dots top right > show system apps
for every app named only the word "Camera," tap on it > clear storage and clear cache > go back to the list of apps

(if your phone has it) app called "com.google.pixel.camera.services.persistenapplcation" > delete this cache & storage too. Just to be safe

Next time for logs, it's much easier to go to the app's log entries
hold your finger down on the app's icon > app info > view logs

Nope, the picture is only my unfortunate face i’m afraid mate.

Do this:
Settings > system > developer options > very top is a toggle to turn it off (If you don't see developer options, good)

This looks to be an OS software glitch. You can skip to sideloading an OTA or do this:

Settings > apps > all apps > 3 dots top right > show system > search the word "camera" > Click on the first app in the list > Delete storage and cache > Go back to the list of apps where you searched "camera"
- Repeat for every app in that list that has "camera" in the name. Should be 4? 5? of them

Now test your camera app

If still broken, sideload an OTA update: ( info: https://grapheneos.org/usage#updates-sideloading )

Sideloading an update keeps all of your data.
If it says the version you tried to install is 1 second too old then you have security preview enabled on the phone. Install the security preview release then. (version number incremented by 1)

I think it'll work now. If it doesn't, here's some mroe stuff:

Did you use the phone or camera with stockOS at all?
How long did the camera work before the crashes? Anything happen around the same time?
Can you open a messaging app and take a photo inside of it?
Is this the stock camera app that grapheneOS comes with? Or is it the google/pixel camera app? (google/pixel camera app has a blue dot in center)
Try using another camera app.
