How exciting!
The P10 does have the newer processor but I'm not sure if you play the latest video games or doing anything intensive. (An old pixel 6 is fine for me ¯\(ツ)/¯ )
Both have comparable battery life.
Here's a comparison of the 2:

I'd pick the P9P for the better cameras, more memory, and higher storage options.
Some people are having the graphics driver crash on the P10 during video playback or other stuff.
The P9P cameras will be much better in low light situations. the main camera has a 52% bigger sensor. This should equate to 2.25x more light per pixel on the main camera! (1.2µm/0.8µm)^2
The other, rear cameras are 25% bigger. Weird there's no info on the sensor size for the selfie camera, but it goes from 10 Megapixels P10 to 42 Megapixels P9P :)
P9P has wifi 7, 10 doesn't.
the P10 has 11 more months of software updates.
Physical SIMs are more straightforward. Some people have issues adding an esim. Maybe test things out the stockOS for a few hours or day or something (test bluetooth, wifi, etc). So you know better if there's an issue with GOS or the phone.
Enjoy the new phone <3
