[PIXEL 10A] Mysterious battery drain overnight while not in use.

Hi, I installed grapheneos yesterday morning, on a Pixel 10a. So far I'm happy, the battery life is also great, but it isn't overnight. It seems that it mysteriously drains overnight. Battery fell from ₈₅ -> 57, while I was asleep.

Somehow in battery usage stats Location is listed on top with 6h 30min usage draining ₄₀%.

I have two apps with location permissions both of them are only allowed while in use and weren't actively used either.

Why does this drainage happen? Anyway to fix it?
I'm not even sure if this drain is due to location, but I got great battery when I'm actively using it.

For reference:
I have a gps tracking app uploading every 15 minutes.
In 24 hours, location usage for me is 12 min <1%

Johnnyloans Yep, there are no 'active' apps that used it overnight or anything. Only two apps were there, both of them didn't use location much. Where could it go?

Also, is it possible that my phone kept trying to find mobile data (my pack ended yesterday midnight, but I was in wifi). Which caused the drain?

You double checked there isn't anything saying minutes or hours like in this screenshot?

I guess disable 1 location app at a time and figure out which causes it.

List of apps with location:
system > security > privacy control > permission manager
Here it'll say location and 2 of 10 apps allowed, for example. Tap location to view which apps.

Johnnyloans Yes, the 2 apps are Pixel Camera and a payment app.
I removed pixel camera for now, and yesterday night I did forget to lock the private space, so maybe the payment kept running. Privacy dashboard says that it ran for barely a minute which I myself did.
I'll turn of location services tonight, maybe it isn't GPS that's draining.

achilles If you suspect a specific app you could fully disable it by long-tapping its icon, tap App info, Disable .

achilles okay, the drain was significantly less private space locked and location turned off.

Hello,

I can confirm this behaviour with Pixel 10 Pro and completely fresh, stock Graphene OS installation. Location/GPS is draining non stop without any app requesting it. Once I set location to off, it stops the drain.
However, even the stock rom a few days ago suffered enormous battery drain.
Something firmware-related probably?
