Suica on Japan purchased phone

Hello currently on an iphone wanting to switch to android, biggest issue for me is I like suica on the iphone because I visit offten. I was wondering if anyone has information on having suica on graphene with a Japan purchased phone so the NFC chip should be active.

Earlier comments mention needing a JP phone number & card. Playstore won't allow downloading the app outside of JP. You must have a JP version of pixel. (These have other changes I believe like always camera shutter sound.)

I'm using JP version of Pixel and strangely I dont have the shutter sound.
