For the last few years my storage space started to get full and I couldn't figure out how or why.
At last I found the reason, when you try to send a video file on Signal that's too big for the free storage space then there will be an error and that space will be permanently full.
Example: I have a video of 10 minutes and is 5GB. I have 4GB left as free storage space. When I try to send it to someome (even a small part of the video), Signal is "processing" the file by copying it and then after it copies 4GB the storage is full and it gives an error.
After I free up space (and have more than 5GB free) then it copies the 5GB, compresses it and then deletes the temporarily copied 5GB file after the video is sent.
Does this happen only on GrapheneOS? Do I need to format the phone or delete Signal to free the space?
