Blink Charging App for EV's, Cannot Create Account

I recently purchased an ev; there are Blink charging stations in the garage of my apartment building. It seems as though to actually use the charging station, I will need the Blink app. I have downloaded and installed the app via the Aurora Store. However, when I attempt to enter an email address in order to create an account, I receive the error, "oops, something went wrong". At the same time, I get a notification regarding, "Play Integrity API Usage - Blink Charging used the Play Integrity API....".

Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong?

Play integrity is the reason it doesn't work. The app thinks your phone is unsafe because your OS is not on google's list of favorite OSes. It's a monopoly where you must have google apps and services bundled into the OS to be allowed into the club--along with other requirements favoring google.

The user that you linked seems to have installed the Blink app via the Play Store. I used the Aurora Store, as I am loathe to use, let alone log into the Google Play Store. Is it possible that the Google Play Store is the only way this will work?

If I am forced to use the Google Play Store (again, which will make my blood boil), would I be able to create a one-time login, and delete the Play Store once I have the Blink app up and running?

On the play store it didnt allow me to install the app. It says the app is not compatible with the phone. I'm in the USA.

Fully deleting Sandboxed Google Play would risk breaking the kind of app that needed this to install and or setup. Try just disabling Sandboxed Google Play Store+Services instead. All my Google-dependant apps are satisfied with just having Play installed, but disabled.

Interesting that the Play Store will not allow it to be installed, but Aurora Store will..... The plot thickens.

I did see that option on the Blink website. However, unless I'm missing something, there is no way to actually request one from Blink. For that matter, I cannot see any way to create an account, unless you download the app; and there is not a desktop version. It is only Android or iOS. Perhaps you can order an RFID card once you download the app?

Of course, if I could download the app and get it to work, we would not be having this conversation.

Cheap phone in the glove box.
Hotspot to your GOS phone.

You are correct, it is not a great option, however it is an option.

Another person who replied above suggested the available RFID card. That would be a good option, however again, unless I am mistaken, an account with the app is going to be required to use it.

I currently have a support ticket open with Blink Charging,, who at this point in time have referred my support ticket to the dev support team. I have also sent them the [https://grapheneos.org/articles/attestation-compatibility-guide](https://), so perhaps that will help. For now, I guess I will have to wait and see what support says.

Carlito I got it by using the website, but that was years ago. Don't know if the app is needed now.

I thought about that, however when I scoured their website, I could not find a way to download it, or even to create and log into an account there. It seems the only way to do anything is to use the mobile app.

I'm having the same problem and will be curious if you find any solution.

For what it's worth though, you might be able to use the Chargepoint app to activate it. Chargepoint interoperates with Blink (and other charging networks).

Just checked chargepoints website. You can order a card for $8 from them.
