Device: Google Pixel 7 Pro
OS: GrapheneOS (latest)
App: Cisco Webex, installed via Play Store (Sandboxed Google Play)
Problem:
When DND is disabled, Webex rings normally for incoming calls. When DND is enabled, Webex stays completely silent — even though I have configured DND exceptions for the app. The exception seems to work for short message notifications but not for incoming call ringing.
What I have tried:
App notification settings (Webex → Direct Calls category):
"Override Do Not Disturb" → enabled
Pop on screen → enabled
Vibration → enabled
System DND → Apps → "Apps that can interrupt":
Added Webex
All subcategories enabled: "Allow all notifications", "In-call Controls", "Call invitation", "Call pick-up" — all toggled on
Mode set to "Selected apps"
Webex internal call settings:
"Incoming calls on this device" → enabled
"Silence rings" → disabled
"Vibrate" → enabled
"High priority" → enabled
Battery optimization → Unrestricted (for Webex and Google Play Services)
"Display over other apps" permission
inside the cisco webex app itself i can set override DND for
- direct messages
- space messages
- calls
So its three advanced settings like in the picture.
For direct+space messages the "Override DND" toggle button works.
When it is disabled no sound when i say "Override DND" then messages make a short noise.
But for calls it is not working.
Question:
Is GrapheneOS intentionally blocking the fullscreen call intent / DND override for VoIP apps like Webex? Is there a known fix or workaround beyond what I have already tried?
