Yes, it is much more secure. In fact, using just the owner profile won't meaningfully reduce security compared to your previous setup with profiles. It's unfortunate how often these overly complex multi-profile setups with no clear benefit are encouraged.
jokemenu This normally wouldn't be an issue, but my wife exclusively uses SMS/MMS to communicate. Because of this, all of our group chats with family and mutual friends are RCS chats. She feels this means I leave coordination of activities and maintaining friendships to her. I see her point. :( Also my fomo is strooong.

So yes, there will be essentially no difference in security nor privacy if you switch to using the owner profile.
