What kind of protection do we have against cellular firmware hacks? The modem contains an entire OS running at every boot regardless of your OS settings. On normal Android phones, this OS has access to everything: CPU, RAM, etc... and is reported to be quite vulnerable, close source and encrypted. Is the hardware on pixels enough protection? Can we encrypt RAM?
