Fingerprint options completely vanished from settings

Hi - I'm new to Graphene and only switched from iPhone of 10 years, to a Standard Pixel 9 last month. I know that one year ago people had this issue but were fixed by a simple reboot. Unfortunately for me, the issue has stayed and does not go, no factory reset or flash to stock fixed it.... With nothing to cause it either... Am I cooked?

Unsure if this is Google or Graphene related but is there anyone else who got the issue where it just simply stayed broken? Has my phone just been defeated by absolutely nothing?

Any help will be appreciated, sorry for if I'm completely missing something btw everyone!

Parkamonkii94 no factory reset or flash to stock fixed it.

This might be a hallmark of hardware failure unfortunately. I assume there is warranty left on the device?

Also should mention that it happened this morning, I wasn't using the phone, It was left to charge and I only noticed it had suddenly broke when I noticed the fingerprint no longer existed - Been fighting to fix it all day long with various methods which have all proven unsuccessful - but there's just nothing more I can do that I can think of sadly

Are you talking about in your security settings?

I still see an option for finger print settings in my Pixel. I have to put in my device password to get to it but it it's there and haven't had any issues on my end with the fingerprint set-up.

My Pixel is set up that when it first boots up, a password is required. Then, if the screen goes off I use my fingerprint and a secondary password, but that's how I set it up.

I had this problem on one of my Pixels, I believe it was the Pixel 5 but I'm not sure. The fix was something along the lines of completely removing the unlocking method(s) you use, rebooting, and then set the unlocking method again - the fingerprint settings had mysteriously returned. Strange but true. Perhaps worth a try?

Indeed, changing a feature setting back to its former state and re-booting is often the general fix for any number of issues, on phones, laptops, etc.

nologo Awh I tried but sadly it just will not come back - I've ran out of options now but Google said I'm eligible for a free repair so I'll see what the service says - thanks tho!
