r134a Ya I'm pretty confused at this point lol. Maybe to state the concern differently - I don't care about at-rest/storage-locking or whatever that link from GOS talks about (in the narrow scope of this question). I do care about: When I hit lock without enabling end session immediately on lock:
- Are all apps killed?
- Can they restart themselves by registering with something - like some scheduler/alarm/whatever, which OS honours? Or until the private space is unlocked (in this case with biometrics) they remain effectively dead and can do nothing?
That's it! Now, that might or might not be related to what GOS are saying in that link (about all this locking of storage, session being at rest etc). That part is (to me) clear as mud. Yes, killing the private session will kill apps, that's obvious, but what about locking the private space without doing so - not obvious.
From what I can trace, I can at-least see "1." above happening - they are killed, like actively. But even there I'm not sure if that tracing is correct, esp in regards to any changes that GOS does in this regards. Hence, still walking around with an addled brain.
