Hi! I’m doing a research project about telecommunications privacy laws in different countries.

I’m trying to understand how prepaid SIM registration works globally.

Could someone help explain:

In which countries prepaid SIM cards can still be purchased without mandatory ID registration?
How do SIM registration rules work in places like the Netherlands or Canada?
Are there countries where prepaid SIMs can still be purchased with cash at kiosks?

(I used that in the 2000s, check carefully it's current)

'Prepaid' doesn't necessarily mean pay-as-you-go, but tariffs that a traveller without a local residence, bank account etc could use.
