Reading the forum I have seen previous issues with 3 button navigation freezing, third party launcher apps and display issues and also Android colour-correction switching related bugs...
My issue seems to somehow be a combination of all those:
When switching colour correction on or off by any optional means (so to/from greyscale <-> normal for example), any of the FOSS third party launchers apps I have tried have this issue whence the (3 button navigation) home and back buttons freeze until after multiple presses (or maybe 10s of seconds) - does this ultimately mean you can only use the stock AOSP launcher if you require colour correction?
I am aware that there may still be many other issues with third-party launchers, but, the AOSP launcher as it stands in GrapheneOS is rather limited in its usefulness. Any suggestions?
