Location Sharing on Google Maps

Hi,

I've been trying to share location via google maps but it always shows as "offline" on the shared device.

I've done the following:

Given play services the required permissions i.e, Location (all the time and precise), Sensors, Network, unrestricted battery access
Given Google Maps the above permissions as well.

Is there anything that I'm missing + are there are toggles/permissions that need to be selected/switched on at the Google account level?

Would be amazing to get some help on this.

I had similar issue but long time ago, and don't remember what exactly helped. I gave all possible permissions to Google Play Services and enabled Exploit compatibility mode for Google maps. Maps have access to sensors and nearby devices in my configuration. Try different combinations and let me know if anything helped

Tried multiple variations and your recommendations as well but no luck.

What permissions do you have activated under your google account settings?

nobody78 Did you give Google Play Services and Google Maps Access to Physical Activity?

mrcarbon yes I did and still shows as offline in the shared-to device.

Confused as to what permissions to give and I've read some suggestions about correct permissions need to be given at the Google account level under privacy section but nothing seems to be working.
