Hi everyone,
On stock Android, the Digital Wellbeing app allows users to automatically enable and disable the Work Profile on a schedule (e.g., disable work apps after 6 PM and re-enable at 9 AM). This is a great feature for maintaining work-life balance and digital boundaries.
However, since GrapheneOS removes Digital Wellbeing for privacy and minimalism reasons, this scheduling functionality is no longer available out of the box.
I am surprised there is no alternative feature to this, as GrapheneOS users are so used to profiles.
I'm wondering:
- Is there currently a privacy-respecting, non-root way to automate the toggling of the Work Profile (e.g., via Shelter or Insular) on a schedule?
- If not, would it be feasible to add native scheduling support in GrapheneOS or through an integration with automation apps like Tasker or Automate?
From what I’ve found, Tasker can toggle the Work Profile via ADB, but this requires setup complexity and isn't accessible to all users. Having a built-in or simpler solution would be a awesome.
Thanks!
