LibreLinkUp App Notification Issue

I use LibreLinkUp for my grandmother to keep a secondary eye on her blood sugar. After I installed GrapheneOS, the app loads up and displays just fine, but despite all notification settings being right, it's not giving me any notifications for when she scans her fob or the alarm when she's low. For right now I have the app on my old phone to get them.

If anyone could help with this I'd appreciate it.

TheAngliscGuy I'm sorry that's happening, I hope you can get the app working properly. A couple things that can help (if you haven't already tried):

Ensure Play Services is installed and has unrestricted battery
Set unrestricted battery for the app itself

If you don't have Play Services installed yet, that's most likely the issue.

The app itself has always had unrestricted battery.

As for Google Play Services, I wanted to avoid ever using it, but I installed it and gave it unrestricted battery just recently. So I'll just have to see if it works. If not then I don't know what to do.

Some of the heavy lifting may be processed in play services. Try giving play services permissions like notification access and network for starters.

In addition to the above, note that some apps need Google Mobile Services (GMS) to be installed at the time you install the app itself (LibreLinkUp in this case) for them to properly register with GMS's push notification service.

So, if the notifications don't start to work, you might need to uninstall & then re-install LibreLinkUp while GMS are installed the whole time.

Will I need to do it from the Google Play Store or could I still get it from Aurora?

TheAngliscGuy Shouldn't matter, since they are just two different ways of getting the same package. As long as GMS are installed & properly set up at the time you install LibreLinkUp, things should work out properly.
