Pixel 9a Auditor Error? Failed to construct key object...

I just purchased a Pixel 9a and made a fresh install of GrapheneOS and went to test with Auditor.

java.security.ProviderException: Failed to construct key object from newly generated key pair.

This was suspicious to me, and I tried to do a few things after a bit of research:

clear data of Auditor and try again.
factory reset GrapheneOS and try again.

Each time came back with the same error.
I did a little more research and came along this forum post regarding someone with a different error and in checking their fastboot noted that one line said "NOS Production: no". I decided to check, and I have the same line in my list: https://ibb.co/xSCGTVgH

Are these two things related? Is there something I can do about my Auditor error?

Should I try to get it replaced through Google's warranty system? I bought the phone through a third party as "open box."

Another user in the forum post that you mentioned had no warranty. Google didnt have the phone's serial number in their database.

Your phone might be an engineering sample (testing purposes) or for demonstration purposes only.

Perhaps the seller got this for free and flipped it for cash.

I just checked, Google has the phone's IMEI in the support database, with a few months left under warranty. I purchased the phone as unlocked, but Google has it listed for T-Mobile.

I hardly warranty or return items; but, returning it to the 3rd party seller would be better I think? If it's ebay or something.

Google is a good option too. I'm not an expert on that.
