Video Thumbnails on GOS

Hello: I have a Pixel9 GOS phone, and Id like to kno if its possible to have a visible thumbnail for each video file, whether .mp4, .MOV, etc. I have thumbnails for every picture I have, but none for the video files. This is true for the video that lands in the DCIM, the Movies, or the Pictures folders. And it doesnt matter if the video is taken by the stock GOS camera, or "Open Camera". Does anyone kno if thumbnails (or any equivalent) is possible? And how I might set this up?

Do you mean in the files app?

i would suggest trying a different file browser app, and see if this one has them,

because i dont have thumbnails either for video in files, but they are in the gallery, which i think suggests that the app just does not support them..

dhhdjbd Yes, Im using the Files app to navigate thru the phone to different folders. Have any recommendation for Files navigators? I dont want to compromise the privacy and the security of the GOS device with a poor privacy app.

No network permission on any app will keep you safe in that regard.

trythis3 Material Files should offer what you're looking for.
At least recalling from memory, it would show video thumbnails.

trythis3 I'm not using GrapheneOS anymore, but I did use it when I was. They should have a Github page, if you use Obtainium. Otherwise I think it's also on the Play Store and on the (less recommended) F-Droid Store. That's my order of recommendation ;)

trythis3 Or you could enter the 'Movies' category in your stock Files app, and tap the 'Grid'-icon.
