Virus scanning

Hey! I want install apks but i'm worried about virus and malware adware etc.
I want to scan the files and check the permissions like in virustotal so do you all have something for me.

you should be consider that these tools can not really be relied upon,

i am not sure what you plan to install exactly, but i would suggest you to stick to the play store

jarvis_own hypatia is pretty good, the original one was abandoned due to the original dev retiring essentially, but someone revamped it. Virus total does also have an app, I do want to clarify it's not an official app by them, but it's safe enough to be on playstore.

This isn't windoze. For anything to be able to scan for viruses, they'd themselves have to violate every little bit of security within Android, making themselves INTO THE malware you're hoping to thwart.

The only somewhat sensible antivirus software for Android was written by Tavi (Divested Computing, previously maintainer of DivestOS), which is now continued as https://axpos.org/docs/knowledge/lovelace/ and https://github.com/MaintainTeam/Hypatia

It can automatically check any downloaded file on the internal storage.

As far I know, though, automatic updating of the definition files is still not implemented.
