I would like to know please, if the GrapheneOs team will be involved / get acces to, the driver development? if it works like this

as far as i understand does qualcomm and Co deliver firmware blobs and drivers(?), and a OEM manufacture has to make its own drivers ontop of that and then puts android essentially ontop of that.
But i am not exactly sure?

I am essentially wondering about if there is any software advantage in getting the Motorolla device over a Pixel device, beyond just supporting the project.

Unfortunately, a top-tier phone with the latest Snap cpu will almost certainly have a 6.7" display, which is a dealbreaker for many.
All my friends with GOS actually have the base Pixel models because of how compact they are.
All of Motorola's compact phones use Dimensity processors and have a bunch of other drawbacks, like the lack of USB 3 and higher.
I'm hoping some other affordable, smaller models will come out, but it's pretty unlikely.

The current Motorola Signature unfortunately has a 6.7" screen and is therefore very large, but is there any reason why it HAS to be this way? Samsung and Apple also manage to make "normal-sized" flagship phones.

If I am understanding the below quote correctly, there will be more than one option for GOS.

It will initially be flagships similar to the current generation Motorola Signature, Motorola razr fold and Motorola razr ultra since those will be the 2027 devices meeting our requirements including the expected updates and hardware memory tagging but it can expand over time.

As a Motorola RAZR Ultra 2025 owner and a Motorola Signature owner. I am happy to see this partnership. I do have my Pixel 9 Pro XL running GrapheneOS. I get that my current Motorola devices won't be supported but I hope more devices like future versions of the Motorola Signature and some of their higher end flagship devices will also be supported. Keep up the amazing work!

I was saving up to buy a beefy laptop for QubesOS. Seems I'll now be allocating that fund for this new Moto-phone whenever (likely a yr away) it comes out lol.

If Android 17 makes desktop experience better along with more stable terminal app and this motophone is might not need traditional lap/desktop for most of my needs!

This is very promising. It will be nice to get away from g*'s crappy SoC's. The last Motorola phone I had was a Nexus 6, which was by far the most satisfying phone I've ever had. Still works and is sitting on my desk 3 feet from my elbow right now.
