Issues importing .vcf from Fossify Contacts

As in the title, I am trying to import a .vcf file from Fossify Contacts into Graphene's default contacts app, and the importing process keeps stalling on the third contact in the list or so.
What could be causing this?

Fossify makes VCF in a higher version than the default Contact App, so you was affected by an incompatibility.

Just use Fossify to import VCFs - you can select Internal app memory or phone memory by import.

i have the same issue. exported from my old Xiaomi and tried also via my old contacts on google account. All contact beeing exported in vcf format.

I just got back to my phone and all contact was there.... Idk what the issue was...

@Grapi is right! AOSP is still using the very outdated vCard 2.0 format and it won't ever change for obvious reasons. Google does not have anything to gain enhancing the default Contacts app while at the same time it tries to push their own replacement apps (Google Contacts, so on so forth for everything else like Keyboard, Messaging, etc.)

Fossify, as well as other modern contact replacement apps, use at least vCard 3.0 and even vCard 4.0 for the better ones like Fossify. Obviously, you can not import a vCard 4.0 file into an app which only understands vCard 2.0 at best.
