Hey y'all. Does anyone have advice for making Life360 work? It does not update my location at all.

Here is important info and stuff I tried:

I have Mullvad VPN. I have turned it on and off and it doesn't change the problem. I also have Life360 on a split tunnel so it shouldn't affect it anyway.
I gave it permission to use location, physical activity, sensors, network, notifications, and nearby devices.
play integrity API is not blocked.
exploit protection comparability mode is on
unrestricted battery use is on.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled it again.
I have done all of the above, forced stopped it and closed it, and then reopened it.

I tried all of this stuff and its still not tracking my location so my partner knows where I'm at. Any suggestions? Thank you in advance.

Have any apps or other software that is:
For DNS, ad blocker, dns blocker

Even router/network ones like pihole or adguard. Life360 doesnt update on data only--off of WiFi?

The only thing I have is the VPN. I did find in my phone settings that private DNS is "automatic". I'm not sure what that means, but would that theoretically mess with Life360?

I actually had this problem myself!
The only way I was able to fix this was to give Play Services access to location. Which granted, really sucks due to privacy concerns, but it was the only way I could get it working.

Had the same issue with life360, you dont need to give access to nearby devices work for it to work just the other permissions and you also dont need to enable exploit compatibility mode either. The main issue is google play services not having location permissions set to "allow all the time", there was an earlier post i saw about someone with the same issue and grapheneOS said to just enable reroute location requests to OS but that did not work for me and a couple of other people and only works with play services having location permission. VPN and private dns shouldnt affect it (at least doesnt for me)
