Using ADB with GrapheneOS safe?

I would like to use DroidDock to transfer my files between Android and macOS. However, DroidDock requires Android Debug Bridge.

Will ADB work with GrapheneOS and are there any safety implications?

Officially we do not support devices that have been rooted and have been tampered with by granting adb access.

I could go on for days about it.

The security model as well as the privacy features in GrapheneOS relies on the user not to open holes in the hardening. Adb, Shizuku, wireless or USB-debugging, and also device-admin, are exploitable opportunities for an attacker. And even running your daily device with enabled Developer options is highly unstable.

At least half of all serious issues that users brings to us, stems from their use of these things which also makes their issues very hard for us to diagnose and fix.

the0815 the safest way to use ADB is not to use it!!!! It is a huge security risk.

the0815 Android supports file transfers over MTP without needing to enable any more options. Just plug in a USB cable and in the notification that appears select transfer files. You can then open your file manager and browse through there. There is a small chance you may need to install some drivers for this to work (at least you do on Windows and Linux). Look it up for your OS.
