New with Graphene but problems. Pls Advic4

Hi folks, new here sorry to bother, i have some questions.
I recently switch from s24Ultra to Pixel9 due to privacy reasons and switched to GrapheneOs, but:

the battery life of the new phone is ridiculous, lasting maximum 9 h (while the old S24U lasted 2 days)
lots of important apps (such electronical identity authentification, SPID, and bank apps) are not functioning at all.

QUESTION 1:
I really want to stick with GraphebeOs but those are real concern in real life world, can you guys help me?

QUESTION 2:
does it have actually any sense to stay with Graphene0s with those and other limitations, - if I have to use a SIM Card in it?

when my S24U is fully degoogle, the settings are privacy enforced, I am using only E2EE FOSS app, and following every other suggestions from Micheal Bazzell, theHatedOne and NaomiBrockweel???)

Thanks a lot, I still have some days to have a refund for the new phone.

These are the apps currently running and--potentially--using a significant amount of power. Tap the number to view.

Check battery usage Settings > battery > battery usage
you can view overall usage, a specific day, or a 1hr time frame. It isn't entirely intuitive. You can see battery usage used by apps or system.

You might need to return the phone and buy another pixel or send it in under warranty.

Battery usage example:
You see: 56% battery usage from 'mobile network' and your battery drained 80% during this time frame.

Apps and system battery usage together = 80%
x + y = 80%
We don't know how much power is attributed to apps (x) and system (y).
x = ?
y = ?

mobile network is under system usage. Its power usage = 0.56y
y and x are unknown.

apps could have used 60% battery and system 20% (mobile network = 11.2% battery)
or perhaps apps used 79% battery and system 1% (mobile network = 0.56% battery)
unknown.

electronical identity authentification--SPID

Would help if you said more specifics. What do you see and do with the SPID app? What goes wrong? error message?

Searching this forum for "spid" can help you find solutions for what you are experiencing. add in italy to your search if it helps.

I can only guess as to what you should do after i read "It doesn't work." It could be a million things.

Many apps require you to go to the app's info page and turn on 'exploit protection compatibility mode.' Clear the app's storage and cache. force stop the app. Reopen and test it.

I think you're missing some knowledge like the exploit compatibility mode but only you can decide what works for you.

Ahahah you may be with GrapheneOS for wrong reasons. If you wish to remain private, not necessarily anonymous, you're in a good place. Don't forget that your "important" apps may have been designed more with security (which i doubt) and less privacy in mind (hence they won't work without disabling the hard earned hardening GrapheneOS strives for). This reminds me of common dietary advice for diabetics: eat your carbs, but don't forget to take your insulin. Wouldn't it make sense not to eat carbs in the first place? With GrapheneOS restriction is everything.

Also, your battery is new, but intelligent in its own way and with time it will learn to use system resources better.

Ahahah I would say it is bit you need to figure out yourself. It took me 3+ years with GrapheneOS to get to stage that makes me happy. At any point, giving in to Play services was a mistake. Hello from SgtSurehand :)

yes it is still worth it, even if they run with reduced exploit protection.
It is kinda very rare that a bank app or smiliar gets shipped with an exploit / is exploited like that. I definitly never heard of it. (Whatsapp wont work corrextly with mte aswell tho js) but signal for example is more secure on graphene aswell, and might actually be used for attacks like that.

I am not sure what your sim card concern is about exactly aswell tbh or what alternative you see

the uptodate security updates alone are kind of a reason to stay in my opinion.

And ofc you still get exploit protection features for other apps, mte for pdf viewer, a secure browser ...
or a good vpn implementation

and not to foget hardware switch for usb port, so no need to worry to charge in public

and i know you said you do not want to use google stuff at all, but i think it is still worth mentioning that if you need google software, grapheneOs offers the best solutions i think.
By it working just like any other app, google apps are no more dangerouse then any meta, amazon or idk tiktok app or whatever in this direction.

And one day you might need an app to do x, like i needed the translate app, and it is kinda convienient that you then can just get that, maybe in another profile, without that much of a hassle or feeling like you have to compromise your whole device now
