Hello,
I've read the other topics on Android Auto but I didn't see the Issue I'm having mentioned.
Android Auto is installed in private space, AA developer mode is enabled and wireless AA is toggled on.
I can connect to the Android Auto screen and I see the list of available apps there. Basically everything seems to work fine.
My problem is that no matter what, only Google Maps app will show up on the connected display with a map interface, other apps will either not show up at all or display some other view. Here is what I tried:
App | Shows up in "Android Auto" app, "Versions" menu | Shows up on connected device | Shows "map interface"
Magic Earth* | Yes | Yes | No
Google Maps | Yes | Yes | Yes
Here maps | Yes | No | No
Comaps | Yes | No | No
- I am aware that current version requires a purchase to enable Android Auto functionality. What is shown on the connected device is some kind of "no message received while driving" or similar message, no map interface even after starting a route on the phone. Before switching to GrapheneOS the map interface was shown on android auto and the phone app was only showing a message "android auto is connected" allowing me to disconnect by pushing a button.
An unrelated question would be whether it would be possible to enable automatic connection to the android auto wifi network, as my primary use case is to use it on the motorbike and it's not the best if I have to take the phone out of the jacket every time. ("start Android Auto when device is locked" is already enabled)
Many thanks in advance for help and insights
