Recently i reinstalled grapheneOS to refresh my setup and test stuff out. And i was wondering a few things.
With the Google Play Services now sandboxed available from "Apps", we can use it with less priviledges, but some apps don't work without giving the 3 apps (Services, Framework, Store) the right permissions. Most notably are notifications, which require all 3 apps to have network permissions. Also my countries government app requires this.
From what i understand is, with the 3 apps being sandboxed, they don't have much access to anything on your phone (Depending on the permissions you give them). What are the effects of giving it network permissions? obviously it lets it communicate with google's servers but how much does this impact privacy? is it safe enough to use?
the second question i had, is about dual sim (or in my case eSIM). i have 2 phone's right now, one personal with GOS and 1 for work. I wanted to see if i can move my work number to my personal GOS phone (so 2 numbers in 1 phone). The idea i was hoping to achieve is to make a 'work' profile that has this 2nd phone number. Is this even possible? I couldn't find much about this. Looking in the 'work' profile i made, i don't see any cellular option to begin with.
So is it possible to assign a 2nd phone number to a specific profile, or somehow make it more connected to this profile?
