I am desperately asking for help from the community and developers. I have been using GrapheneOS since July 2025 on a Google Pixel 8 Pro (purchased used). I previously reported a Wi-Fi bug that seemingly disappeared, but the issue has returned and it's a lot worse.
At this point, the phone is becoming unusable for my work and studies. The wireless stack (Wi-Fi, Hotspot, and Bluetooth) is highly unstable. I know the immediate response is "hardware failure," but the fact that a reboot (after many reboot I mean) temporarily restores Wi-Fi for 10 minutes and that Bluetooth actually still works most of the time before crashing makes me suspect that it's due to GrapheneOS. If I cannot resolve this, I will be forced to flash back to Stock OS just to have a reliable connection, which I really do not want to do.
Device & OS Information:
Device: Google Pixel 8 Pro
Build Number: 2026021201
OS Channels Tested: Stable, Beta, and Alpha (behavior is identical across all)
Cellular Data: SIM connection works perfectly.
Symptom 1: Wi-Fi Complete Failure
The Wi-Fi radio randomly turns itself off.
I have explicitly set "Turn off Wi-Fi automatically" to NEVER.
When manually toggled back on, the menu says "No other networks available." It is completely blank and fails to scan my router or the dozens of neighbor routers nearby.
After many reboots, it buys me 10 minutes or some hours of stable Wi-Fi before it vanishes again.
Resetting Wi-Fi and Bluetooth in system settings does not fix it.
Symptom 2: Hotspot & Bluetooth Instability
Hotspot: When I attempt to turn on the Hotspot, the toggle button literally snaps itself back to the "OFF" position immediately. When it works.. it works for some hours.
Bluetooth: Unlike the Hotspot, Bluetooth does actively work and connect to devices but it suffers from intermittent, random crashes where a system crash pop-up appears. Other times, Bluetooth will randomly drop the connection to my devices, even though the toggle physically remains in the "ON" state.
I have explicitly set "Turn off Bluetooth automatically" to NEVER.
I have already tried clearing the cache, resetting network settings, and switching update channels. I heavily rely on GrapheneOS for privacy, but I am wasting hours of my life just trying to keep my device connected.
A possible solution that I thought is a roll back to December but I don't think it's possible due to anti rollback.
