Pixel 9 Pro Fold OS is borked (or hardware failure)

What initially started as the outer screen inconsistently working, has progressed into total borked OS. It was in the middle of backing up Seedvault to a flash drive and shut off. Now, it won't boot. Pressing the power button like usual to start does nothing. If I hold it in for a long time, it resets and tries to boot, but shuts off at the G logo.

I'm able to get into Fastboot mode and stay in it fine. Ran fastboot getvar all and battery voltage is fine. There's avb-hastree-error-mode:restart at the top.

When I choose Rescue mode or Recovery mode in Fastboot, it restarts, sits at the G logo for a minute or two, then shuts off.

It all seems lost at this point. But if any of you can shed some wisdom and there be a possible way I can recover GrapheneOS without losing my dad, I'd greatly appreciate it! :)

Find out the active slot from your getvar all or this:
fastboot getvar current-slot

Boot from the other slot:
If right now is 'active a' run;
fastboot --set-active=b

If right now is 'active b'
fastboot --set-active=a

Reboot:
fastboot reboot

Seedvault isnt too reliable. Try to do a second copy as well via another method.

Haha, typo. Data. I have some files I had on there, not the end of the world though.

Koruudo I think something critical happened with the OS and/or hardware during the Seedvault backup and it soft bricked it.

Perhaps the phone already tried this by itself. I've read many times about the phone automatically switching the slots after a failed update.

Your phone probably has hardware issues? Hopefully you can return it or at least warranty support. Getting a pic of "avb" hash check failed you mentioned earlier might help your warranty case.

Johnnyloans I've had it for about 2 years now, I'll accept the consequence of using a Gen 2 folding phone from Google. Hopefully they fixed some of these issues with the 10 Fold.

As well as outlining every other issue that you have experienced with the phone.

Flash it to stock for a warranty and don't mention GOS--lower chance of push back.
