Pixel 6 Charging (and possible rebooting issue)

Hello people

I have noticed ever since I started using graphene >6 months ago that when the phone is charging if I unlock it, it'll do this wavy animation on screen implying that it was "unplugged" and then "plugged in" again, I never touched the cable either. I'm wondering if this is normal for graphene or if it's my phone.

Also my phone has been rebooting itself randomly. It has happened twice so far. Once it was after I dropped my phone on the ground from torso height and again yesterday, this time I didn't drop it, I laid it down came back to it several minutes later and when I pressed the power button I noticed the screen wouldn't power on, pressed power again, same thing. I held the power button and then it showed it was starting back up again.

I did replace the battery in my phone but that was maybe a month ago. Accubattery claims the battery capacity is >90%.

I decided to do some testing. Tapping the bottom part of my phone makes it shut off.

So I guess it has something to do with the battery or another part near the bottom.

While opening my phone I broke the already somewhat broken screen, so if I'm going to use it again I'll need a new screen.

At least I have discovered there's a problem with a component near the bottom of the phone and now the screen. :|

I'm going to consider this thread "solved" since it's clearly a hardware issue.

Well I got a new refurbed screen and when I plug it into my phone, it goes in a bootloop now and on top of that the phone doesn't wanna turn on without being plugged in to an outlet.

I'm beside myself right now. No idea how to get this thing operational.

Web searches say screen might not compatible. Which doesn't make sense to me. Apparently a 6.4 inch screen and a 6.7 inch screen can "fit" each other. Unless I don't something that's very wrong.

I reseated the battery connector and display connector several times, no change.

Anyone got ideas? I'd rather not reformat as I've on these forums but if that's the only way to get it working, I guess I'm feeling out of options.

The phone is probably damaged from opening it up when it was dropped or had the battery replaced. I don't know about your specific model; but, it can be easy to knock off a tiny bypass capacitor or scrape a PCB trace with a prying tool.

There is no fixing it I think and need a new phone.

Johnnyloans I looked over the motherboard with a flashlight and there's nothing I can visibly see that might be missing that I haven't removed, myself, like battery connector and screen connector.

It might not be from the phone being opened up but randomly shutting off, having charging issues or can only be on with USB plugged in.

Could all be the original issue before all of this started and why you replaced the battery. Maybe the phone loses power randomly.

Johnnyloans I don't remember my phone rebooting by tapping it though. I replaced the battery because the OG was at like 60-70% capacity. And since I replaced it is when the power issue has started, as I said I've reseated it several times, so. (shrug)

I read elsewhere on this forum that someone's phone had started to reboot itself while using it, and someone responded by telling them to reset their phone to or update it and that apparently fixed it but I never finished reading that post so it might have failed again. I find it strange how easy it can be to break something without even trying.

I have determined the most likely cause of all my headache. The new battery has a mangled cable, not sure if that's because of me or if it was shipped that way. I'm able to use my phone without factory resetting or anything. The old battery works just fine so I guess I need to buy a new new battery. (ugh)
