Hello guys,
this is my first post on this forum - i have this issue with my Pixel 7:
I have been trying to transfer data (mostly music) from my PC (Windows 10) to
my Pixel via USB-C cable (never tried before..) by copying the files into the phones storage (as I have done it with any other android phone).
As soon as the files show up on the phones storage, they cant be opened/played anymore -
neither by selecting them on the phones data browser (where they show up as they should) nor
when clicking on them on PC in the windows file explorer (they simply crash/close immediately).
The files do show up in the phones data browser, but not in any music app. (Access to the music folder is given to the music app).
They do have the correct size, meta data and evrything when copied onto the phone, and the original files on my PC are working just fine of course..
What I have tried so far:
- selecting "file transfer" for USB connection on the phone, when connected
- tried all USB ports of my PC
- tried both of my USB-C cables (haven“t had any issues so far, e.g. GOS installation)
- rebooted PC and phone
- changed phones USB-C port setting to "on/no restrictions" in the exploit protections
- fixed windows drivers for USB/device
- did the same transfer (same files, settings, port, cable, etc.) to an old android phone with stock android
(without any issues)
Any ideas on that? If my discription is unclear, please let me know.
