Dasher App Not Allowing Log-in

As the title says, tried to log in this evening to work a shift and kept getting booted back to the log-in screen. Kept getting a play integrity API notification as I logged in, but that's nothing new. It's always done that.

I haven't used the app in about two weeks, did something change here? I'm not sure if they updated the app to only work with certified devices now. Has anyone else come into contact with this issue?

Is Google Play installed?
Where is the app installed from? (Assuming Play Store if Google Play is installed)
Have you tried enabling Exploit Protection Compatibility Mode?

Maybe less important, but still good info;
What device are you using?
What build number are you on?

Linking the app might prove useful for people to install and test it themselves if they wish.

nandohyphen1 Play Store & Services are installed, and app was from the Play Store. I did try exploit comparability mode with no difference in outcome.

I'm using a Pixel 8, build number 2026021201.

EDIT: One (maybe) important detail I left out is that this app is running in the private space. I don't know if that makes a difference, and it had been working for months in the private space before.

bigmacmeal this is all super good info to help troubleshoot! I'm busy tonight and possibly over the weekend, but if I find time I'll test the app myself (to see if it keeps kicking me to the login screen). Meanwhile hopefully someone else can install and test it.

bigmacmeal Check if you're actually logged in into your Google account (Play Store). You need that now to pass Basic Integrity. Unlock Private Space and (only once it's unlocked) go to phone Settings -> Passwords, Passkeys & Accounts -> Tap Private tab -> Check if you're logged in into Google account.

Re-check if any permissions are missing for the app and for Play Store including Network permission, sometimes GrapheneOS takes them away if an app is not in use for some time. But I'd think it should be a month or so, not couple weeks as in your case.

That will also be very helpful! My theory is that it will. I could very well be wrong though. When you mentioned that it keeps popping up a notification about Play Integrity, this could be a problem thats causing it. I'm not super technical with this stuff, so I'm hoping others will have ideas too.

I've been using Dasher mostly without issue on a Pixel 6a with Graphene. I did experience this login loop issue a couple months ago, but I eventually got it to log in.

Yesterday however, I cleared the cache for the app and now it's happening again--a login loop where I put in my number to receive a text and when I confirm the code, it just redirects back to the beginning.

I'm logged into the play store and I'm not using a private space. Turning on exploit compatibility doesn't help.

I'm experiencing the same thing with my Pixel 9a. I've been able to use the Dasher app until yesterday when this login loop issue appeared.

I've cleared the cache and data, reinstalled, reset my phone, and turned on exploit protection compatibility mode, but nothing seems to work.

I remember experiencing something just like this on my Samsung a few years ago, so I'm willing to bet it's a problem on Doordash's end, but who knows.

I am also still having this issue.

This seems to be an issue people experience outside of Graphene, there are other reported cases and solutions but I'm unable to test them right now.

The issue never went away and so, sadly, I reverted to stock, and now it works.

It seems like we can assume Dasher has now started requiring the play integrity check.

Not being able to use Dasher is a deal breaker for me. I really hope there's some way that the play integrity issue can be solved.

Yeah I'm still having this issue even after multiple app updates. I also tried installing it on a new profile.

The driver apps for Grub Hub and Uber Eats still work though.

I had this issue start around a month ago on an 8a. Updated the app via play store on a secondary profile, then was not able to log in, same symptoms. I tried everything except complete wipe/reset/reinstall, even tried running from owner or a newly created profile. Suspecting it was the integrity check due to update,
my workaround was to get a cheap android phone and use that with hotspot and it worked. I wonder if loading an older version of the app would work / be worth it.

This stuff is out of control. I just checked my DoorDash Dasher app and now I cant login either...I now can attest that I too cannot login to Dasher now either, experiencing the "boot loop" issue. These gig companies must be held accountable. They cannot lock us out of opportunity to earn a living because we want a device we control, not a Google/Apple duopoly. In America, our Congress needs to pass a "bill of rights" for the devices we own. I do Doordash, GrubHub and Shipt, so for now, GH and Shipt work, but for how long? I heard the GOS team is suing Google for antitrust. I hope we the people (in the USA) and others around the world can rise up and fight back against this BS.
