Pixel 9: Exposure/Brightness slider sometimes unresponsive while taking photos

Hi, I’m using the Google Pixel Camera app on a Pixel 9 and I’m having an issue with the live controls while taking photos. The warm/cool (white balance) slider always works, but the exposure/brightness slider only works sometimes — it occasionally becomes unresponsive. This happens both when I open the camera from the lock screen and when the phone is already unlocked.

I installed the app via Aurora Store and it’s up to date.

Also, I’ve read that Pixel Camera Services can improve photo quality and may help with camera bugs, but I can’t download it — it doesn’t show up for me in Google Play Store either.

Has anyone experienced this, and is there a fix?

Many Pixel users on reddit have posted about this (non-GOS users).

For me, switching out of the camera app breaks the sliders.

I have gotten it to be functional again 4 of 4 attempts by force stopping and reopen.
