SMS are not visible in secondary profiles.

I'm using the default SMS app (Messaging) on both the Owner and the secondary profile. The secondary profile has the "Turn on phone calls & SMS" feature enabled.

Some of the apps I have in the secondary profile need OTP via SMS for logging in. All these apps send the OTP but they never show up on Messaging. When I switch to the Owner profile and open Messaging, all those OTP SMSs suddenly pop up on it. At this point, when I switch back to the secondary profile, I can see the received SMSs in Messaging. However, by this time, the app I was trying to log into has been killed so I cannot log into it.

Why aren't the SMSs visible like normal on the secondary profile?

pariahkite I have had a similar issue for about three years now and the best solution I could come up with is using QUIK for SMS on the othe profiles as it has a sync messages function that will grab the texts that are not coming through.

I'm in the same situation. You can enable receiving phone calls and SMS in your owner profile. Go to Settings -> System -> Users -> Choose the Profile you want to enable phone calls and SMS on -> Toggle "Turn on phone calls & SMS".

For me the problem remains though, because unlike on the owner profile, there's no preview of the SMS and when I switch to the message and switch back to the app I'm trying to get activated through OTP, the app has noticed that it went to the background and restarts the auth process...

So I'm now trying to figure out how to get the message preview to work.

That's already enabled. Sorry if I wasn't clear when I said,

The no preview thing is a security feature and thus by design. I simply tried 10+ times and I managed to be fast enough to switch between messages and my app that required the OTP.
