Vanadium: Unable to add custom SearXNG search engine

Hello.
I'm looking for help changing the default search engine in Vanadium. I have a home server where I've set up a Docker container with the SearXNG search engine.
The service is accessible locally and from the internet via my domain, with an HTTPS certificate.
I followed the instructions here [https://discuss.grapheneos.org/d/296-vanadium-custom-search-engine-and-ad-blocker/17] to try to make SearXNG the default Vanadium search engine, but I can't add it.
As a test, I successfully added the Mojeek search engine, but not my own.
Does anyone have any ideas?

MarcelloMP I can add my self hosted searxng after one search, however cookie settings of search won't save. So instead I added my searcng as home page
