9 hours, file still downloading (inter profile sending)

I tried to send around 8gb zip file between profiles with the interprofile sharing app.

It is "downloading" since ₉ hours now.
I never did send a large file.. can i assume that it did not work and cancel it now? or is this normal for large files?

anyone send something large before and knows please? thank you

Probably an issue with either your profiles (it puts the app to sleep) or the app.

Could try unrestricted battery for both apps and experiment again?

That app doesn't use WiFi or cell data. It can work with airplane mode on, no WiFi.

This means there isn't really a bottle neck for file transfers. 8GB will take time to copy to/from the same SSD but a few min or less.

I should have said from user to private space, but i disable battery restriction

furthermore in the faq of the app on git it mentions, that disableing encryption might help for larger files..

so i am trying that now both again ^^

You don't even need inter profile sharing for that, just tap the "add" button in the app drawer.

Oh boy. To be honest, IPS was never tested with those kinds of file sizes... did disabling encryption do anything?

If you go to the app info in both profiles are there any errors in the logs?

If you need to do this a lot, a USB-C dongle with a pendrive might be the better option until we get that to work... sorry

honestly i did not work with encryption off aswell and then i just gave up haha

i will test tomorrow and look at the app info and tell you if it says anything

(and i got cloud storage now so its not really an issue for me anymore)
