Wired headphones not working

Hello, I just bought a USB Type C adapter for my (Aux 3.5mm) wired headphones, but I can't get them up and running.
In USB Type-C settings, the headphones/Cable are recognized, but I cannot select them as the audio output.

I have set the USB Type-C port to "On" (Not restricted).

Does anyone know a solution, or have the same problem?

TomasTime maybe, go Settings > Sound and vibration > Audio will play on
Look for something more than 'This phone' being selectable.

Probably other people are having more luck since I don't see this issue a lot here.

I had the same issue when my phone was brand new. Maybe it was the adapter cable I bought. It'd take 3-5 unplug/plug-ins to get audio to switch to wired speakers.

I returned the cable and used my previous pixel like an iPod for music.

You don't need this, charging-only when locked will do the job just fine.

Perhaps there is some problem with your adapter? I've successfully used 2 pairs of USB-C headphones/earphones without problems.

not sure if it's the issue but you need an adapter with a DAC built-in, usb port on pixels isn't wired to support DAC-less adapters like on some others phones.

randomname Okay interesting, never heard of it. The adapter is from Ugreen, and I just assumed it would do the job.
Maby its fake, but it looks very well made and solid.
