I went to use my pixel 9a and I had wet fingertips and I used the fingerprint reader to unlock my phone and then went to check my banking app And the bank app sensor didn't work and I kept getting "not recognized" pop ups whenever I tried using my fingerprint to unlock my banking app.
This happened a few times before the phone would then turn off and take me to the lock screen, I tried this a few more times until my phone eventually turned completely off, I thought it was dead and put it on a charger , when I connected it to the charger I got a full battery 🔋 pop up on the screen , so I pressed and held the power button and then the battery percentage popped up and their was a weird white pixel dust behind the battery percentage on the screen.
It then took me to the screen where it'll show that theirs a different OS loading onto the phone, the Google logo would pop up, then the grapheneos screen, and then a pop up would appear saying the data may be corrupt to either try again or factory reset, I tried multiple times but eventually ended up having to complete a factory reset and delete all of my data.
Lost all of my data. Any reason why this happened ? Seems a bit excessive that the phone ended up acting like that just bc the fingerprint reader sensor didn't catch my fingerprint a few times and it completely shut down and locked me out forcing me to wipe the phone data and factory reset it.
Also anyway I can create a backup so next time I have all of my data saved ? I lost all of my data and trying to get it all back is frustrating, especially contacts and other apps I don't even remember...
