Pixel 9 Pro Fold fingerprint option disappeared

I've been using fingerprint to unlock since installing GOS on my Pixel 9 Pro Fold. Out of the blue today, fingerprint stopped working and now the option is missing in settings/security. I have rebooted and powered down several times.

If it's a hardware issue would that cause the option to disappear in settings?

I rebooted into safe mode, still no fingerprint option, I guess it's looking like a hardware issue. I'll wait for the next GOS update to see if it restores before flash back to stock and sending off for repair.

Just have a look when back to stock if this issue persists, if so, arguably a hardware failure. Good luck.😐
