Dear All
New to the forum and quite new to GOS.
First I guess, very big thank you to all involved with GOS, amazing project without doubt.
So I first experimented with a cheap test device about 7 months ago and quickly decided to make GOS my main device so started the search for buying a new pixel.
A couple of months later was the happy owner of a 9a running GOS.
The software side of things has been flawless. Very happy with GOS, should have tried sooner!
I have however in the last few couple of weeks encountered a hardware issue, the volume down key has stopped working.
I have plenty of warranty so I was thinking to send it off to Goggle to get it repaired I assume FOC but looking for a little advice.
My main question, has anyone sent a pixel back to Google with GOS installed for a warranty repair? With the volume down key not working I'm unsure if I could flash stock again if that was a requirement of warranty repairs.
Have I misses a trick, is there another way to enter the bootloader interface without volume down + power button combo to be able to revert to stock?
Or is it likely I would have to forget about Google warranty and I'd have to go to an independent 3rd party repair shop and pay to fix the issue?
Worth noting BTW that I wouldn't have the confidence (or ability if I'm honest with myself) to try a home repair as I have a minor condition which results in having very shaky hands.
Thanks for reading, any help/advice would be greatly appreciated!
