Vanadium "corruption"

Pixel 8. Vanadium 145.0.7632.75. Grapheneos 2026021201. Although this problem occurred using the previous versions.

I was following the procededure for enabling other search engines ie making a search using said engine to make it appear as an option in the settings. I tried with both brave and startpage. The procedure didn't work reliably and eventually vanadium became unresponsive requiring a forced stop.

Since then vanadium has been unable to access any website. I've been through all the remedies proposed in this thread https://discuss.grapheneos.org/d/15061-vanadium-cant-connect-to-many-sites-claming-connectivity-issues/28 but to no avail.

The loss of vanadium in the profile in which I'm experiencing this problem is no big deal, especially since I prefer brave operationally (mostly due to its merciful handling of the torturously persistent cookie pop-ups.)

However, I am concerned about the integrity of my installation so I am planning to factory reset the device and start again.

What I'm wondering is whether there are any log files or such like that the Graphineos devs would like me to provide before I erase the installation.

subwoofer Try restarting the phone if you haven't. I know, an easy thing to try that gets overlooked, but sometimes fixes the strangest problems with phones. ;)

Use Auditor to verify the integrity of your device. If you've never used it before, you'll need to verify it twice, as the first time it'll show as orange - which is normal. The second Audit is the correct one.

Are you using a VPN? If so, can you connect to a different server and try that? If that doesn't work, completely disable the VPN and see if that fixes it

Thanks I hadn't tried the auditor, on the second execution I got a green screen.

OK, so at least that is good. You shouldn't need to reinstall GrapheneOS then because Auditor verified that your device integrity is strong. I'm just trying to think of what else it could be.

subwoofer before factory reset, maybe try resetting Vanadium? 'Clear storage'.
Edit: I just saw on your other thread that you've tried that already
