I've been using GrapheneOS for a sizeable portion of time, of which, I've managed to get notifications successfully working on individual profiles through the usual advice. Install Google Play Services, Give unrestricted battery, network, and notification access, let the profile run in the background, and apply notification permissions as desired, etc.. This allowed myself to receive notifications for a specific profile when said profile is open, however, notifications have never worked cross-profile when one of these profiles are open.
For a quick rundown of my specific setup:
- Google Play Services installed in two non-owner profiles, both given network and notification access, and allowed running in the background with unrestricted battery usage.
- Both non-owner profiles are allowed to run in the background, and "Send notifications to current user" is enabled. Owner also has "Send notifications to current user" enabled.
- Owner profile does not have Google Play Services installed.
- Google play Store is disabled, with restricted battery usage.
- All exploit protections are active on Google Play Services and Google Play Store.
I do feel that after reading through all the guides I have, I don't feel I've missed anything, but there is always that possibility. I had an easy time finding profile specific guides, but cross-profile guides seem limited to non-comprehensive forum posts. That being said, any help would be appreciated, even if it's telling me just to verify something for y'all.
