Anonymous phone/text apps like Burner?

Do any of these apps work on GrapheneOS? I've read in at least one forum post here that they do not, but time has passed and I'd like to know if anyone has success using any of them on GrapheneOS?

I'm aware of the second sim solution, and am not interested in that. Thank you for any info about getting anonymous text/phone apps like Burner working on GrapheneOS.

Shendai I can try and test the burner app later when I have some time, I'll try to come back here and report.

Maybe not exactly the setup you are going for, but my solution to this has been to use JMP.chat through the Cheogram app and purchase phone numbers. Used to be a lot cheaper to get new numbers but the new initial cost gets you a longer usage window for the number. These are good since you can pay with BTC and they actually work with 2FA for accounts and such. But again, not sure if this setup is exactly what you are looking for.

bigmacmeal Thank you for the info, I'll have to investigate that. Basically I'm looking for a way to be able to send text anonymously without a sim swap. There's a couple other solutions like using an email address to send, but the ideal solution would be to use an app like 'burner.'

Burner does work, I just had to allow internet access to google play services. Also the app itself needs to be granted virtually all permissions in order to have functionality. There seems to be some delay receiving messages, but I believe this issue can be closed.
