Manually backup bookmarks

Is there a way to manually export the bookmarks from Vanadium to back them up?

If yes, how to import them again in case a restoration is needed?

boarim Unfortunately, it's not currently possible to backup or restore bookmarks in Vanadium.

Since you are talking in the title about manual export and since there is no mechanism available and unless you store hundreds of bookmarks you could just manually copy/paste titles and urls into a file in your note taking app and reverse restore them afterwards by revisiting and bookmarking again. It doesn't take that much time, although we like, ehm automation :)

SgtSurehand Indeed, that’s a possibility, although it’s quite cumbersome—I have thirty to fourty bookmarks.

boarim since direct export is unavailable, I would suggest an alternative: maintain a list of bookmarks in markdown editor such as

First setup will be probably lengthy with existing bookmarks, but from then on each new one you will just share to your editor and save it. It will basically replace your browser's bookmark section in your local storage.

SgtSurehand This is basically what you advised me to do in your previous post. Or, have I misunderstood?

Another solution is to backup the whole phone with SeedVault, which would include the whole Vanadium configuration and bookmarks. However, based on other users’ experiences, it is unreliable.
