Are you storing a lot of contacts on that physical Sim? If so, try storing them on device only instead.

We have 2 devices now with this problem, reproducible. Pixel 9 Pro with the same scenario, 2 SIMs, 1 eSIM, 1 physical. Since one SIM will be disabled, the systems runs smoothly again ...
If only I knew whether it's a Google Android problem or a GrapheneOS problem.

Based on the solution in the XDA link, maybe try Settings > Accessibility > Color & motion > Remove animations

To be honest, I don't know. I'll ask again.

I'll also be getting a Vodafone eSIM in the next few days and will try to get a physical SIM from another provider to test it.

Today, after yet another prolonged period of freezing and stuttering with both SIM cards, the “SystemUI” service crashed and I received a log file.
I can't currently have two SIM cards active at the same time, because the system becomes completely unusable.
I hope this can be fixed somehow, because I really need this to work.

Is your phone faster with the esim disabled? Or only the physical sim?

I noticed you mentioned turning off the physical sim, maybe a new SIM would help but maybe not since another phone has the same issue. (Unless both phones have a real old SIM)

Are you able to create a github account to create a new issue there explaining the issue with your 2 phones and upload the log file there?

settings > system > reset > reset mobile
See if that does anything. It'll reset settings you made for the SIMs.

I cleared the System UI cache, and it worked for a while after that.
I'm also testing it now with the Voice over LTE feature disabled, and I've inserted my second SIM card from the plan into the phone.
I don’t know yet if it makes a difference.
I’ve already created a GitHub issue and attached the log there.

I’ve also performed the reset several times, including with a new eSIM profile, but always with the same physical SIM card, because I didn’t have any others to test with at the time.
