Hello everyone!

Thank you for all the work you've done since the beginning!

I'm currently exploring GrapheneOS and I'm about to take the plunge and switch from my iPhone 14 Plus to a Pixel 8 Pro.

If I'm happy with its daily use and data protection, I think I'll upgrade to a 10 Pro later.

I'm getting my brand new Pixel 8 Pro this weekend and I'll start the installation.

My goal is to avoid using any "Google" applications and instead use more independent alternatives. Even if the replacement application has fewer features than the one using "Google" services.

Long live the data protection project!

Is there a thread about the easiest and most secure applications recommended for GrapheneOS?

Breiztoul most secure does not mean most optimal for you (you are not evolutionarily adapted to carry a complex digital device everywhere you go). I have learned my lesson and willing to pass it on, but not on this forum or it won't be appreciated. Still, embarking on GrapheneOS approach is best you could have done. Thumbs up for you.

I changed to GrapheneOS about 2.5 years ago and have not regretted it for an instant.

"Easiest and most secure applications" is quite vague, but there has been discussion around which app stores to use, for instance. If ease of use and security are your concerns, you'll want to stick to apps from Accrescent and the official Play Store because those stores have the strongest integrity verification.

Thanks for your feedback. I want maximum security, not because I have anything to hide, lol... but mainly because I don't want to depend on an OS that does whatever it wants with my data without my consent.

So I'm going to go with the most secure GrapheneOS configuration possible and open it up a little (if there's no other option). Firewall principle...
