Better launcher?

Hi, I'd like to stick to the stock launcher, however the impossibility to make the grid finer (5x5 makes rectangle icon boxes and wastes so much screen space) makes it a no-go for me. Sadly the stock launcher is, I believe, the one the best implements the Private Space.

Are there plans to improve the stock launcher in that respect?

jimbob even if you don't use Google Play, you can get many launchers full of features through Aurora Store I swear by. Disabling network permission should take care of any potential trackers built into them. I happily use Square home.
