Pushing Apps to Secondary Profile or Private Space

I read posts in this forum where folks talk about pushing apps to secondary profiles. How? I don't see a way to do this.

I did figure out how to add an app to Private Space and that doesn't work like I expected. When I try to add an app to the Private Space Play Store sign in pops up even for open source apps installed via Obtanium.

How do I push to a secondary profile and what am I doing wrong with Private Space?

mar2112 I'm not sure what you were trying before, but to make an existing app from the Owner profile also available in Private Space as if it were a new install:

Go to Settings > Security & privacy > Private space > Install available apps

private space and another profile is completely separate so you have to install any app stores in there and sign into google play store in there.

Nothing gets "pushed." The other users mean they "moved" the app by deleting it in 1 area and installing it again in another.

Adding apps to private space: Install your stores into private space. open the app/store. find and install apps.

Creating another profile: Drag down from the top of the screen like you want to change the brightness.
Click the person icon on the very bottom to add/switch between profiles.
Change settings in here like its a brand new GOS install. install app stores. sign into google play store. download apps

This can be done by doing what above answers explain.

On owner profile install the apps from any source you like(play store is recommended) and go to

Settings > System > Users

Choose the user you want to install apps and change the allow installs and update option to first source and install the apps you want.
To push apps into private space of secondary space, you need those apps installed in the secondary space first(using first method or directly using any store here) and click the gear icon in the app drawer next to lock private space button and install available apps.
It's the same for owner profile's private space.

mythodical Just mentionning this also works with normal users (System > Users > Your user you want to install app to, it's the same menu)
