I am on a Google Pixel 9a with newly installed GrapheneOS.
I need to have navigation on my phone WITH voice guidance.
I installed OsmAnd, and despite enabling voice navigation, it won't talk to me.
Note: I installed a few different apps including Google Maps temporarily just to see if it's an app-specific error, or if it's something about the OS.
NONE of the apps are able to do voice guidance for navigation. They can all find the location, and I can watch the maps and direction on the screen; however, I'd MUCH prefer to have it speak to me because I am often driving in traffic, so watching the screen all the time is less than ideal.
What settings within the OS might be preventing voice guidance for navigation?
(This happens both when I am using Android Auto & when I am just navigating directly from my phone (no bluetooth connection.)
Also, while I think this is unrelated, I thought I'd mention it. When I get a text message, and I want Android Auto to read it to me, I click "Play" and it says it's unable to play the text message for me. That one isn't the end of the world, but I wonder if it could be related?
Thanks.
