Battery life got significantly worse since early last year

I got this Pixel 9 in January 2025. At first the battery life was amazing, 2-3 days on 80% charge. I always have the charging limit on as well as battery saver. It was good for a while but now a year later I started charging every day. Looking at the battery consumption of apps there isn't really anything special. I've had the current big consumers installed since day 1. So is it the worst battery degradation in a year or did graphene start eating significantly more power?

When was the last time the battery charged to 100% to calibrate capacity?
How do you charge the battery, trickle charge it or smash it full, as fast as possible, on a powerful charger?
What is the current battery count?
Using the current big consumers? I interpret that as battery capacity consumers, like VPN and E2EE messengers etc.

I was expecting maybe better battery life after going to GOS. I have not seen any negative or positive change .. I am using a 8A.

GrapheneOS regularly charges to 100% to recalibrate. It happened a few weeks ago.

I don't have any massive consumers other than web browser. There's a lot of <1%. Most that are above that are messaging apps, play services and ntfy.

I feel like battery life got worse after android 16 but I have no data to back it up and I'm also unsure.

I charge with my laptop charger, full blast.

The thing is that the battery endurance has very much improved with the OS, say, from early december 2025 releases.

And given your experience being better in the beginning of using your Pixel, now it is worse, I'd assume some change on the device is causing this for you. Some app, or a setting.

Is your device set to be automatically updated to the latest releases?
