Bakedpotato I have no need for text messages so i wanted to disable them. I tend to avoid using it for most things because of sim swaps(I use yubi keys for my email). If anyone wants to send me something to read or a picture they can through email. Text messages just gives ppl a direct line to getting into my phone.
ShoulderSurfin Something your carrier would have to do .. and many probably don't even offer that option. I just had to deal with this yesterday with a bank, I said NO to the SMS verification. They reluctantly said ok.
Johnnyloans I would suspect so if any texts sent to your phone number get dropped and never sent to you.
